![]() Children's Hope is a church orphan ministry of FBC based on James 1:27. It encompasses foster care, adoption, and orphan support. The mission of Children's Hope is to engage the church in carrying out God's command to care for orphans.
Foster Care Children's Hope has formed a partnership with the Alabama Baptist Children's Home in order to provide Christian homes to those children coming into care either through the foster care system or private placement. CH also provides support to the local DHR office in various ways. Please see "Foster Care" page for more information on foster care. A history of CH and ongoing updates can be found at http://childrens-hope.com . Donations can also be made through Paypal at this site.
AdoptionChildren's Hope will provide financial assistance to qualified families through a partnership with Lifesong for Orphans; provide ongoing support/information group for adoptive families and those who are in the process of adopting. We will continue to highlight the need for Christian families to adopt by having special services and speakers such as Auburn offensive line coach, Jeff Grimes and Dr. Russell Moore. Please see the "Adoption" page for more information on adoption. A history of CH and ongoing updates can be found at http://childrens-hope.com. Donations can also be made through Paypal at this site.
Orphan SupportChildren's Hope provides an opportunity for members of FBC to reach out to orphans through a partnership with a local Baptist church in Jacmel, Haiti. We are also working with the State Board of Missions with this project. A number trips have been made to Jacmel since August 2010 to work with and plan our future involvement with 18 orphans in this area. These children had been living in a tent since the Jan. 2010 earthquake. They are now in a rental house, attending school and thriving. CH is in the process of purchasing land and construction of a permanent home began in July 2011. Please see the "Orphan Support" page for more information on orphan support. A history of CH and ongoing updates can be found at http://childrens-hope.com . Donations can also be made through Paypal at this site.
