“Peace is what I leave with you; it is My own peace that I give you. I do not give it as
the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.” — John 14:27
Do you like to receive gifts? Who doesn’t! There is the thrill of opening a beautifully wrapped package and seeing what is inside that gives us a true sense of excitement. The gift of peace that comes from God is a special gift.
This special gift may not come with ribbons and bows but it comes with the assurance that God is always with us. No matter what happens, He is always there. Peace is defined as being calm, quiet and without conflict. What a wonderful Gift! As we celebrate this wonderful time of Jesus’ birth and the Joy of Christmas, let’s remember that God’s Gift of Peace is ever present in our lives. Activity:
Select a few of the Christmas Cards that your family has received and have a special prayer for those families.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for Your gift of peace. Help us to give peace to those around us today.
Merry Christmas! Carey and Patti Shoemaker
